Registration is voluntary and open to all individuals and registered self-help groups are also encouraged to join.

Ubuntu is governed by a board of 3 directors who are the co-founders of the institution.

The highest decision making organ in this institution is the AGM (annual general meeting) that gives out board members of the society who oversee the directors and the administration of the institution they act in the management committee.
